So excited to share with you that I am a featured artist in the Autumn issue of Where Women Create which hits newsstands on August 1st! I am so honored to be featured with 13 other incredible creatives. My studio in Rye Beach, New Hampshire is where the photoshoot happened and I was lucky to have none other than my talented friend Matthew Mead as my photographer. We had a great day although I remember we were hit with snow, rain, sun and heat all in one session. You just have to roll with it and roll we did – with plenty of laughs and conversation along the way.
Some of my favorite and most meaningful paintings hang at our house in Rye. I have a chance to share many of them with you within the pages of Where Women Create and tell you a little more about myself and what makes me tick.
One of the nicest things about this feature is the opportunity given to me to share my story with Jo Packham the Creator and Editor-in-Chief of WWC and with her many readers. The surfboard art piece was my gift to our son on his 18th birthday. It was created in community with his best friends and was a great surprise for him. This was a contender for “my favorite things” feature in the magazine. You will have to pick up the issue to see what became my favorite thing – mainly because it was so hard to pick.
My love of vintage is on display throughout the feature and you can see some of my favorite finds put to use in my studio. My picking friends will appreciate seeing some of our finds from our adventures. My sister Chrissie was with me when we lugged this beauty home.
If being in Where Women Create was the cake of my dreams – being given the honor of “last page” postcards was the complete icing on that dream cake. Thank you to the Where Women Create Team, Jo Packham and Matthew Mead for including me in this wonderful issue.
I would be so honored – if you would consider picking up a copy at your newsstands and share my joy.
O Happy Day,
