We are having a give-away – my first of 2015!
Matthew Mead and I have joined forces and are offering 2 lucky readers of my blog and Facebook page the chance to win a signed copy of Matthew Mead’s Upcycled Style and a fine-art print of my favorite piece of art called “A Riot of Color”.

There has been so much excitement surrounding the launch of Matthew Mead’s Upcycled Style magazine that I wanted to share some of it with you. As you know, I am one of the artists featured in his beautiful publication. What an honor it has been for me to find myself nestled in the pages along with other creative women whom I admire. The magazine has been so popular that it has sold out in many places especially in my neck of the woods – where we color starved survivors of “too many snow storms to count” greedily devoured the colorful magazine right off the shelves.
Here are a few sneak peeks into this gorgeous publication:

Upcylced Style is a lifestyle publication. It has wonderful ideas for creating more meaningful spaces at home, at work or even a bake sale by using what you already have but tweaking it – to make it more personal and fresh. You can meet me in my own kitchen in the pages of the magazine or visit me in my home studio and see what I’m creating.

Matthew shows you how to decorate with the things you love most; like your child’s pottery collection or a leftover slate remnant used as a chalk board in your office. Upcycled style is about taking things that you already have and shining a light on them with a coat of paint, a bunch of posies, or a fresh grouping on a table.

Inside are gorgeous recipes and ideas for styling your next party or bake sale.

Ideas abound on how to use old jars as terrariums or as centerpieces in your home decor. Unexpected containers are utilized throughout this issue to corral flower arrangements or catchalls in delightful ways.

Of course there are many other ways to upcycle like I did in upcycling my artwork into fabric designs for pillows and other soft furnishings throughout my home. Matthew’s magazine has many tips and tricks for reinventing what it means to upcycle … it’s all within the pages of his magazine.

The Matthew Mead / Nelley Kelley Designs give-away is the chance for us to share with you how excited we are with the new magazine. Two winners will be picked and they will receive an issue of Matthew Mead’s Upcycled Style signed by both Matthew Mead and artist Ellen Kelley McHale and one fine art print of my favorite flower artwork: “Riot of Color”.
