I love this painting because it brings back such happy memories of sitting on the beach in Rye at the end of the day watching my son walk back to me after a glorious day of surfing. There is something about seeing them attack the waves all day long and then the need for just one more and then again just one more until exhaustion sets in and the darkness starts to creep into the blue of the ocean. Truly a great day and to think there are more of those days to come now that the promise of sun and sand close in again. This might just be my favourite right now …
