The view from the green landscape to the houses beyond remind me of how I used to feel when we would round the corner to the road leading to the beach house in Maine. You would travel through this uninteresting industrial area and then make a few turns and you would be presented with this incredibly scenic view. I swear my blood pressure would bottom out – it was that beautiful and calming. This painting is that memory and looking at the row of beach houses lined up beyond the marsh gives me pause.
